Re: Oil Subaru Outback
Before you left on your journey did you do an oil change? If not the engine oil could have had fuel in it due to “crankcase dilution” https://www.azom.com/article.aspx?ArticleID=16891 on a long journey the fuel will evaporate reducing the amount of oil in the engine. if not found the engine can suff...

Re: EE20 Single EGR and twin EGR engine diffrences
there are not a great deal of differences that I have found but they are enough for the engines not to be a straight swap. euro5 to euro6 differences alternator belt tensioner is different Glow plugs on the euro6 are 7 volt euro4 ad euro5 are 12 volt euro5 has a semi closed deck E6 has an open deck ...

Re: EE20 Single EGR and twin EGR engine diffrences
9 months later and I'm still compiling info on this subject.
eventually I will have a list of differences between the Euro6 engine and the Euro5 engine. It isn't a big list but there are a few differences

Re: Whoops - 1985 MY wagon addition!
nicely done I have seen way worse interiors on the old wagon, in cars that were still on the road 30 years ago
Good luck with the build
I wish I had not sold my sports wagon but at least I know that the owner isn't going to part it out.

EE20 Single EGR and twin EGR engine diffrences
I would like to know the difference between the Single EGR engine 2008 to 2012 and the twin EGR engine 2013 to 2019.
There are plenty of Twin EGR engines available but I keep getting told you can't put one in a 2010 TD forester.

Re: Help Transmission/Differential Identification through serial numbers
Hi, I am a new member and this is my first post. I currently have a 2011 WRX Gearbox (5sp Manual), Flywheel, Clutch and Rear Diff with only 2000km on all components. I inherited this drivetrain for free, and this is the reason behind wanting to utilise it. Can someone help me identify the transmiss...

I was chatting to the hosting Admin yesterday He has paid the Ausubaru domain reg, hosting and ssl certification for another year out of his own pocket. He actually sees the board as an active historic archive. I still refer people from facebook and other care sites, to the posts here that have work...

Re: Silverbullets' resto: Engine, gearbox, suspension
Sam is the tail shaft a single piece or dual piece tail shaft?
It could be a tail shaft vibration either way.
As for the gearbox I saw the video on facebook but had no idea of what was wrong.
I'm thought the syncro has gone on 3rd but Subarino thinks it is linkages

you probably won't find a second hand one or would be really lucky to.
This company makes new ones but they are not cheap.

Re: New members - Read first post & say G'day
Hello everybody, I’m Glen, from Brisbane, and have inherited a 2008 B9 Tribeca along the way. I was just wondering about improving fuel economy by any chance? I have seen these “performance chips” on eBay and was hoping that some people in here have had some experience with something along those li...
