You could try a silver hammertone, i have used it with a paint brush works fine and has the advantage of being very strong, only problem is it ends up with a sheen like galvanised iron, and takes a few days to dry properly, there may be variety that is a plain silver, try rustoleum and see what they...

seeing as the steering has been vibrating since you have had the car I would suggest this has caused severe wear in the whole front steering and bearings etc, so the whole lot would now need replacement. just standing on a breaker bar will not tighten the axle nut sufficiently, I use about a 4foot l...

just be aware that there are 2 types of pump, the distance between the front of the pulley flange and the rear face can differ by about 6mm to 10mm, makes it hard to fit if they don't match. for information I have water pump off a ea82, only ran about 2000k before the motor died so like new, $20 plu...

sorry cliff i think you did it to yourself. A set of front hubs is not a set of free wheel hubs, it is a set of front hubs as delivered. you should have asked for free wheel hubs. they are available for your car for around $175 there is a guy in WA advertising them for the zook on gumtree. i believe...

the sellers of phosphoric based treatments usually recommend the loose rust be removed with wire brush or blasting. completely removing the rust to shiny metal is useless as the acid needs some rust to enable a conversion to take place. they also recommend that the coating be allowed to sit for a da...

have heard of this in other fwds, apparently its something to with being on full lock there is not enough tolerance in the driveline to allow the gears to release. never got the full story on it though. I have had the l series lock into 4wd on occasion that can be annoying. cured it, sold the car.
