Want Outback or gen1 Lib Struts

Looking for a set of Struts for my Gen1 liberty Wagon. I still have air struts in the rear which i need to replace ASAP, so I want a set of rear HD spring struts. Kings or Pedders I suppose. Or if I can find Gen 2 Outback struts then I will go down that path front and rear. Location- anywhere from C...

I remember the horrendous ticking in my old L series. It was easily and cheaply fixed with 2 small O rings between the heads and the overhead cam cases. Oil travels up from the pump through a port in the head, past the O ring then into the cam case and then to the hydraulic lifters. Hydraulic pressu...

on the computer eh? I have heard of these things. I am impressed that SKF would keep a database of applications of their bearings. Specific automotive bearings perhaps? I recall the front bearings in my old L series were just garden variety deep groove ball bearings that you could find in a thousand...

wheel bearing specs

just wondering if anyone knows the specs/bearing codes for the rear wheel bearings of a gen1 Liberty AWD??? I am trying to minimise downtime by ensuring SKF or someone can have the bearings that I need instead of having to pull it all apart before i can even identify the part number.
Thanks

New motor, no spark.

Hey guys, I just fitted a 2nd hand SOHC EJ22 to my 92 liberty, 1st thing that threw me off, was the timing. There are arrows and about 15 degrees off are veritical marks on the valve pulleys. The manual indicates to use the vertical marks. so I did. THen I checked the old motor and it is timed to th...

L Series sydney

With a heavy heart I must sell my beloved wagon to make way for an overseas Trip. She has treated me well through work and play, good times and bad. I have owned her for about 4 years, from when she was 200K klms young. She has driven me just about every day, never broken down save for battery and a...

Interesting.
I was hoping you had a good idea for the latch that I could steal.
I am thinking a spring loaded pin into a bush.
there also certainly needs to be a bush in the hinge.
I like the idea of mounting it off the bumper too.
 hmm, now I feel motivated to draw up some plans...

cheers!

Hey Vidler, any chance you can post some pics of the wheel carrier itself, I am interested to see how it is secured, ie latch or drop pin or something else that can be easily used every day but is strong and sure enough not to rattle or wear out from vibration. I also want to see just how burly it i...
