I've always used diesel fuel. As previously stated though, just 10-15 min and keep the rpms down.

No poo! This really works. I've done it to nearly every vehicle I've owned, subie or otherwise.

I've had this happen, minus the hot day, because of the alternator not charging. Hope this helps.

Has the fuel consumption changed? Just seems to me that nothing in that car should wear out this soon, not even tires. Is it an auto or manual transmission? If it's auto, could dust have contaminated the fluid? It doesn't seem likely, however dust can get into places that amaze me. Maybe try a reset...

Seems like pretty low km at just 70,000, but could be.

I'll have to get some pics together. Getting the camera and computer to play well together is challenging to me, as there is no grease or grime involved, makes it hard to know what to do with the thing.
