thinking about it mike, what offset are your current 16" rims? yokohama and bridgestone both do a nice all terrain in 215/65R16 maybe you should look at those? Scott runs the bridgestones (D693's i think) on his very quick lifted liberty and they have been excellent. He runs 16" GT forester alloys w...

For your liberty, seriously look at something with a wider offset than standard liberty rims. Otherwise your tyres will rub on the chassis rail at full lock. I am using 15x6 forester steelies which are +48 offset. With these rims, the tyres do not rub at all. I also like the look of them as an offro...

Lower diff ratios - auto transmission
With all the current work being done on lowering diff ratios and low range gearsets in manual boxes, I have started thinking about modifying my auto. I currently i have an EJ22 lib with a 4.11 AWD auto. The rear diff is an open 4.11. I have access to a dead 4.444 turbo box for parts, and 4.444 visco...

I ended up buying the wrangler ATR's. So far i really like them. Its amazing how different the car feels on teh beach when you actually have some tread. I also scared myself a bit on a steep gravel slope i always play on, I usually start spinning about half way up and go no further, with these on it...

Hayman reece style towbar adaptors - do they exist?
I will soon be fitting a towbar to my Gen1 liberty wagon. Unfortunately the only option is a standard 2 bolt tongue style bar. What I would like to be able to do is bolt up an adaptor to this that will accept the smaller hayman reece style tongues that the subaextreme bars use. This way i can fit a ...

good to see you have made a start mate. LCD: you have a few options. I would recommend a 7" widescreen as they are easy to fit but still have enough resolution to be useful. Your choices are: Xenarc - best quality but have to source form the USA and are expensive Lilliput - supposedly not as reliabl...

Im running a spline extension but i sure wish i had of got mine welded. I say weld it. Dave why? I have a welded extension, and i wish i had a splined one ;) Welding an extension in the middle of the joint means the top uni joint is on a huge angle. It works but i dont like the look of it. Extendin...
