Thanks for the suggestions. Looking into moving the inner suspension arm mount on the cross member and see how that goes.

Lowering RX

Hi, I am wanting to lower my RX Leone club car. I have been to Pedders and they said that there are no shocks or springs available to lower the car. It has got standard front shocks and rear shocks are KYB. The car has been converted to rear wheel drive and is being used on dirt, so the lower it is ...

We are thinking of club registering it and driving it on special occasions.
Any idea of what the average value of them would be? for insurance purposes?

Boosting EA82

Hello
I've got a 1987 RX Leone. I was just wondering what would be the safest maximum level to boost the turbo?
Car has 2.5 inch exhaust straight from the turbo with high flow muffler, also has a toyota supra top mount intercooler. Car always runs on BP ultimate fuel.

Thanks.

Hi
FWD - Non Turbo. We believe what we have paid for it was very cheap. Not sure if we will road rego it or club rego at this stage. Any ideas what it would be worth?? Not that I am thinking at this stage of selling it.

Cheers

86 vortex just bought

Hi Look what I have been lucky enough to pick up to add to my collection. I think this one is beauty. Couldn't resist. The condition of it is really good and we took it for a roadworth test straight from purchase and one thing it did need was a new or repaired drivers side seat. The rest was minimal...

About the Rx with the full black interior: It looks factory made with all the same design and style, but does have checkered seat belts in the back. Front seats look similar to the factory turbo 4wd auto sedan which isn't an RX (Any idea what this may be? It has a factory sunroof, air con and power ...

Thanks for the advice. The car is being built as an autocross car so thats why its being converted to a RWD. Will let you know what the outcome is, whether we use the 180B rear end or weld up the diff already in it.

Rear wheel drive conversion help!

I've got a '85 RX that has been converted to a rear wheel drive by the previous owner. It only has an open diff - not an LSD. I was just wondering if the rear axles would withstand a locked diff (welded)? If not, what would you recommend? If the axles are unable to withstand the locked diff we are t...

All fixed and running well. Distributer at fault!
Thanks for all the help again!
As car is a rear wheel drive and only has a standard open diff, just would like to know how strong rear axles are? because I am looking at welding the diff up. Car will be getting used for racing in autocross.

Thanks for all the help. I have changed all of the plugs, filters, leads and also put in some fresh fuel (as it had been sitting around for a while). It is revving better, stopped backfiring on acceleration but still backfires on deceleration. It is revving better (still not 100%) but the power isnt...

Thanks for the ideas. I have just found papers from the last owner saying that the motor was imported with 80,000kms on it and has now done roughly 100,000kms, going by the previous owners records. The backfiring is coming through the exhaust and I bought it like this.
