H6 Error Code and Diagnostics

Help, 2001 H6 Outback ECU error Tonight driving home up the freeway and the engine check/warning light came on. While waiting for takeaway I checked under the dash to see if there were similar on board diagnostic plugs like with my EJ22. I found a pair of green plugs however not the pair of black on...

Jay,

Slightly off topic, but where is a good place to get gas north of the river?

How much does it cost?

Recently bought a Lincolne 170 and just using gassless wire at the moment.

Dave,

I have no idea, all I know is that the light comes on and the only error code that comes up is the speed sensor, occasionally there is another one too which I think was the knock sensor?, can't recall as I have only clocked up about 800km in 12 months since buying the outback

I paid $300 to have someone strip down a harness, came with tags on the wires and notes telling which wire to connect to what. Doing it this way was as easy as installing a stereo. My only issue has been that i havn't got a speed sensor, can drive the car around the suburbs for weeks with no issue, ...

Can anyone recomend a good thickness aluminium for making a sump guard?

Would 5mm marine grade 5083 do the job, apparently it cant be folded therfore would need to be welded at foldlines.

Seriously you had to wait 3 weeks for the King Springs? I have been told 2 weeks ago they are in stock for Gen 3. So far I have enjoyed my auto, but how do you tell if you have a "VTD rear end"? I have a 2001 H6 auto top of the range (leather and sunroofs, and colour coded bumpers and VDC blah blah ...

Not sure if there is any logic to the following, just noted your comment on checking the battery levels. over 20 years ago I stupidly topped up a battery to the brim, no air space at all and had a similar but much worse power loss. At night it was like driving by candle light and the wipers moved at...
