Re: My Vortex Project

Thanks for the reply guys I have been speaking to a few engineers and told me its not worth the headache to get it all running, so I have passed on fitting the big block into it. But on the plus side I have taken the EA82 to my mechanic who is going to replace all the seals, rings, timing belts, plug...

Re: My Vortex Project

Thanks Toonga, I'm hoping I can get the 3.6R engine and auto to fit as I can get the entire running gear pretty cheap, on the plus side if it does fit I'll have to sell my old running gear with the 5 stud discs and everything to make space lol

Re: My Vortex Project

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update, I have the opportunity to get a 3.6ltr R engine, auto, loom etc... and would like to know if this will fit into the car (clearly there will need some custom work for the engine to bolt in, but just need to know if it is possible for it to fit with the auto and such).

Re: My Vortex Project

Thanks Bennie Yer its going to be a full body, with door jams, windows etc.. no more factory green :) Should be pretty easy for the 3D scanners to mirror image the trims and fingers crossed we can get them re-made at normal price as I don't think people are going to want to pay more than 200-300 + p...

Re: Making new dash trims

Just a quick update on the trim I have had one someone who does 3D CAD modeling to have a quick look at the trim and told me that it will need to be scanned with a 3D scanner. It something that can be made but when it comes to it being printed they may not be able to have the original factory finish...

Definitely have to look into that, but don't have a Facebook account (bit old school). I'll see if the wife will let me use her account and see how it goes :)

Re: Making new dash trims

Yer i'm taking to a few companies at the moment as I have to get someone to draw this up on 3D and also have it 3D scanned so just getting quotes so far. 1 company has quoted 300-400 just for the 3D scanning but printing shouldn't be too much, but it will be the total cost at the end that would be a...
