hey guys, I have a MY10 XT Forry and was wondering if the "Media Hub" component fits my vehicle ? I have the full Sat Nav system (believe it is a Kenwood unit built for Subaru). I have the aux inputs int he centre console but a USB or ipod/iphone input would be much more useful :)

Thanks

Tom

Did it cause any issues with your lift in regards to shaft angles etc ?

Do you have any abs/traction control issues and can you turn that off when you are off the beaten track ?

Cheers

Thanks mate, now that is the sort of information I am after. Yeh there was a couple of dunes I conquered in my GX Wagon that other proper 4wd's had trouble with (but that is pretty common, soft roaders seem to be a bit better on sand but not so much in full offroad territory). Does your model have t...

Cheers mate, yeh I agree that the Subaru is far and away nice inside and a better quality car (better resale also). Just thought the new T31 Xtrail might be a bit better offroad. I figured if there were some basic options like a bit of extra ground clearance and an LSD then the Wagon would pretty mu...

4Gen Outback Upgrade Options

Well my GX Wagon (1991) has a busted head gasket and is a pretty tired piece of equipment so I am looking at purchasing a new car at the moment. In my sights is something to tow my trailer and get my trailbike to and from riding areas and some mild 4wding. Looking at either an 4Gen Outback Wagon or ...

yeh mate I had thought about an XT forrester as well. I have driven a 2.5i (my mum has one) and the car had a decent feel to it but yeh was a bit underpowered but the turb version would be decent. I quite like the look of the Forrys also. The new ones are a bit too expensive, my budget is probably $...

Upgrade time, opinions

Am looking at upgrading to a newer car. Basically spend a bit of time offroad and towing a trailer with my traily on it. My thoughts are either a Gen3 or Gen4 outback. I am thinking the H6 as the 2.5 might be a bit underpowered ? Also like the idea that the factory towpack on the H6's comes with a t...

yeh that is an option. yeh I understand that I can't fit bigger tyres, that the reason I originally looked at doing the upgrade as I have a full set of Forester/Outback mags and decent new 15" tyres on them. but i am not sure if spending the $2k at the moment just so I can fit bigger tyres is worth ...

hey fish spoke to that same crew you were talking about they quoted me $1500.00 for the gear (apparantely will bolt straight in) Spoke to GSAD they are $1360 but would need the top bearing plate (this is all without fitting). Seems pretty expensive and they have suggested that I can't fit my 3 inch ...

1990 GX Wagon suspension upgrade issues

I have had my car in getting the suspension converted from airbags to shocks and springs. It has been away sometime and now the guy tells me he is unable to locate any rear shock's. The air bags were just being replaced with second hand gear but according to the guy working on it there is none avail...
