any thoughts ?

thanks suparoo, the oil does look pretty ordinary ,bit dirty ,, no dash lights have come on ...someone even suggested a blocked exhaust ... i suppose thats possible , when standing behind the car can hardly feel any air coming out of exhaust with motor running .. thanks khanacross

hi guys ,i have a 99 2.5 auto outback .. problem im having is mainly kickdown related ,eg ; i come to a hill doing say 70ks 2000rpm put foot down slightly ,car kicks into neutral ,revs biuld cause of slight ecceleration ,biulds to about 4 or 5 rpms then bangs so harshly into gear it churps the tyres...

thanks ,,date for trip is 30may next year ,,how is that weather wise? will be travelling with a 80series cruiser and recovery gear ...

thanks for replies guys ,, outback is standard factory hieght ...will have new tyres on for trip and recovery gear ,,thanks for tyre pressure idea on corragations i normally do that in bush or beach but didnt think of it for corragations ,... just wife and i in car so wont be over loaded (hopefully)...

rather than having tank in back of wagon is there a donut tank to fit in spare wheel hole ? then carry a space saver spare ..... we do use the back to camp in and carry gear so dont really want a big tank in there making the area useless ... any thoughts? khanacross

hi guys ,just a thought with fuel prices the way they are especially this weekend ,has anyone put there outback on lpg? or any subaru for that matter ... where did you put tank ? how did it run on gas performance wise ,any differance ? i have a 99 gen 3 outback .... any thoughts ? thanks khanacross

hi guys ,have a 99 gen 3 outback 2.5 auto .. just blew out the seals in the power steering rack ,,,, leaking oil badly onto exhaust ,,i need to change racks urgently . i do have a rack out of a gen 1 liberty . are these the same rack ?? will it fit ? thanks heaps khanacross

i will try the ej22 one tomorrow ,will post progress on here ,let you know if it works ,,.. the pic that you (suparoo) put up is of a ej22 knock sensor ,the ej25 one has injecter style clip on wire on it ,.but should do same job once i change wire connector ,,hopefully save me some $$ as i do have a...

one is on a ej22 and other on a ej25 .. both single cam subaru's

yes the wiring plug is differant ,,both are just one single wire ,,i was just going to change end connectors ... any thoughts ?
