Alfa's have standard webers too, good luck finding one in the yard though ive never seen one still on the car, I think the yard operators get first dibs on these.

Im also pretty sure the 2l cortinas have them too, I remember this was the motor people used to give the escorts a 2l conversion.

Id also check for any air leaks, any or different whistling sounds.

And also the cat, if they melt which I guess is quite possible from a faulty air/fuel mixture they can really restrict the flow.

A large mining company (I won't say which one) has a very inhospitable environment for vehicles to work in, namely salt flats. They're lucky to see 4 years out of a car, and I can tell you ...

It appears that my fuel tank goes in only 280km, but the dial must be wrong because i get 11l/100, and a "fill" only puts in 39l Good point I get 135km more km's from when my gauge hit's the empty mark, It also doesnt hit the full mark...

I had a similar problem in a '89 skyline, it turned out to be that the torque converter crapped itself. I cant remember how much it cost but was less than getting another gearbox. Im not sure how it was tested but I think the mechanic had to take it out to see, I guess you could check the transmissi...
