audio/ climate control swap - wiring help?
Hi all, sorry if I'm digging up the past here. If anyone can point me to existing info that would be a great help! I've swapped my Kenwood GX 201KE head unit (05 Outback) for an MP3 compatible GX 204KH (06-09). The stereo component works fine, but I cannot control the climate control - although the ...

Bash plate and lift kit
Hi all! I have a 2004 (MY05) Outback premium- looking at getting a 2" body lift kit, and a bash plate for the front. There seem to only be one or two suppliers of such parts in Aus, and none of them seem to reply to emails???
Anyone know who I can contact to source these parts?

Cheers for all your combined efforts, guys :) It certainly helps having others helping out.. I've got it sussed now, with the help of a second relay - but here's the catch. On later model Subarus, the headlight wiring (like most things) goes through computers and relays. Hence, if you just used the ...

Gen 4 Outback spotlight wiring
Hi all - does anyone know of any wire in a gen4 that activates ONLY on high beam? I'm trying to set up my spotties, and it seems that the negative trigger through the headlight switch becomes active again when the ignition is switched off? It must be possible, because plenty of other people have spo...

The cubby hole, vents, and trip/ clock display all come out as one unit (if it's the same as the unit in my 04 Outback - pretty sure it is). I removed mine by gently pulling at the cubby hole/ lid until it started to move forward, then working around the edge gently pulling til all the clips came ou...

Oodnadatta
Hi all, Wondering who out there has done the Oodnadatta track and/or Painted Desert region, how long they took, what gear they took, etc? I'm hoping to take the Outback up there for a photographic trip in late July if it's dry enough, and most of the info I can find is for full 4x4's, not AWDs.. :co...

Gen 4 stereo harness
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram (or info) for MY05 Gen 4 Outback stereo? Was hoping to upgrade from 6-stacker CD to the 6-stacker MP3 of newer models, but apparently the A/C won't work if I do a straight swap?

Gen 4 Outback workshop manual
Hi all. I've just put down a deposit on my first Suby - a 2004 Gen 4 Outback, and I'm very keen to get my hands on a workshop manual, as I've always done my own repairs and servicing. Not having any luck finding one (printed or electronic). Anyone got any ideas where I might be able to find one?
