the clutch and the thrust bearing are all new... ill have to have a read on how to change it.. i doubt it woul fix it but its worth a shot

hey all just wondering if people know if a mechanic (transmission joint) can fix a noisy gearbox? thrust bearing / clutch been replaced but you can hear the gearbox inside the car which i was advised by the 2nd previous owner... dont care if the gearbox could be on its way but just want the noise to...

so that will include the set of gaskets?

how much am i looking at from subaru for the genuine rocker cover gasket?

ok cheers spike... the thrust bearing and clutch has been replaced, but still makes a noise in the gearbox so has to have something to do with gearbox as i was told by the 2nd previous owner that was it.. there is no 4th but it goes in all the other gears fine.. its been like that for 18 months and ...

ummm i doubt that LOL.. i live in Mount Gambier, a town of ford and holden usually LOL... im gonna suss out how much a mechanic can fix it up for.. I love the subaru for my first car.. excellent on fuel, just so comfortable to drive.. just trying to figure out how many km a original motor can do

ah ok.. apparently the 2nd previous owner said the mechanic had advised it was the rocket cover gasket to be replaced. can i just replace that itself and not worry about the other ones? since ill be doing it myself... cant afford to have a pro to do it
