What are your thoughts of the H3 soon-to-be delivered to this great country? Personally i believe they epitomise many global issues that this world faces. They are big, obnoxious, gas guzzling miliatary derived tanks built for wanker egomaniacs who believe more is better. Sure if you live way out i...

High Lift Jack

It is my cousins birthday this weekend and i want to get him a high lift jack. He owns an 80series Landbruiser that would be rated somewhere between moderate and extreme on the modidication scale (Think top of bullbar at chest height and i am over 6 foot tall...) and needs something to change the ma...

I dont know if this applies to more modern cars, but i lost indicators on my 1969 renault once upon a time. Turned out to be the little "flasher" unit for the indicators- just a small plastic box with a few relays in it. A universal replacesment was like $5 from Repco. Don't know if this is the prob...

Two words. Jessica Alba.

But seriously those things had about 800hp (off the top of my head). What a cool machine. For a turbo it sounds as if it has bugger all lag.

Tyre advice

Looking to get a new set of tyres some time after exams. I currently have 195/75/R14 road tyres on the car and want to replace them with something similar. Most work is done on bitumen with a fair bit of country driving, and the occasional sandy exercise. What is a reasonably priced tyre that is sui...

For streak free windows try using scrunched up newspaper to take the last bit of water off after chamoising and make sure your hands are really clean and grease free. Sounds weird but give it a go. Also there is a product called rain-x that does a great job on exterior glass, gives them a good spark...

Looking good

Put 400km on the car since getting it back 3 days ago, which included a long return trip to Yorke Peninsula to test out the new boat.
No steam save a bit on a very chilly morning. I think I nailed it.

How many times has that thing saved you?
I am scared about getting one coz i dont know who to trust (as to whether they are detectable in SA) when buying- not keen on the MASSIVE fine and loss of license thing.

Looks like i may have (FINALLY!!!) nailed the problem, here is the story. Retorqued heads, still blowing clouds of steam and getting worse. Still no evidence of combustion gases in radiator. Pressure tested cooling system, pumped up to 14PSI and by the end of the day was holding at 8PSI. Then remove...
