Hi Guys,
I've been planning on upgrading the stereo in my Forester - but can anyone tell me how to get at it? Do you just pull the plastic dash surround off?? Can I break it?!@#$
Thanks before I do something stupid!

There's a really good Subi Wrecker in Mitchell - I've had heaps of L Series bits from him with no worries - Touring Wagon Tailgate, Steering Rack, Bullbar, Power Mirror, etc - Ask for Matt cos he looks after that side of things. They also have a showroom full of new off-road goodies. The wrecker bus...

Hey Mr X - the dude says it's a 'Genuine Subaru Towbar' but he has no idea of the manufacturer...any idea what brand Subaru uses? (surely they don't actually make em?) Thanks!

Forester Towbars

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if a towbar for a MY03-04 Forester will fit a MY98 Forester?
Hope it does!
Thanks for any input!

94 Liberty Wagon Fuel Sender Unit

Hi All - My mate has a 94 Subaru GX Wagon - and it's a nice one! - but the fuel gauge has a mind of its own. His mechanic has told him it's the sender unit in the fuel tank and it'll be a $400 to $500 job to fix. How hard is it to change the sender unit? (how hard can it be!) Does anyone have a spar...

I've also got 185/65 14 under the bonnet - I took out the spare wheel support bar and 'modified' it to allow more room. Just bash it with large hammer cos there's enough room under the bonnet...it will fit...honest!

I'll second (or third!) the SAAS kit. I just got one from Repco (special order) for $90, bolted on (needed proper puller to remove original wheel) and all works fine - indicators still self-cancel and horn still works!
Oh and it's a sexy 320mm wheel - fab with power steering! You Gotta Get One!

Ahem. yes, well considering I live 8 kms up a dirt road, which always has 'hoppers at some point in summer, I reckon I'll leave 'em on and be bloody glad that I didn't even think about it at the time - Subaru San must have had a good reason at the time...now I know!
Thanks y'all for sorting me out!

EA82 Timing Belt Covers

Do you really need them? I have just replaced all of mine with the timing belts and the water pump while I was in there and now that it's all done I was wondering if you actually need the covers? I think it looks heaps better without them...anyone...??

OK - Thanks for your help - My thoughts.....tie rod ends are good, (and both ball joints are new) I reckon the warped rotors have shagged the steering rack joints. Which is a pisser because I put a second hand rack on 6 months ago!
But it would make sense...
