EA81 Rocker Spacer

Hi all, well gave the old girl a tidy up on the weekend by replacing the front crank seal and resealing the oil pump and valve set check. Found excess movement in the intake rocker arm on the RH rear cylinder. Noticed that the spacer has been worn down and is now to narrow to space the two inlet roc...

move the entire chassis rail outwards by 40mm and then bolt all the WRX bits straight in !! One simple statement, and many many hrs of work!! I have been following your progress closely, well done sir. Thing is, every engineer i've spoken to is happy untill i start to mention that the rails need to...

EJ SOHC Turbo Performance??

Hello all, I'm after any information you can give me for EJ18-22 SOHC Performance. I have had a google and cant really find much of what I'm after. I'm wanting to change the EA81 out in the Brumby for something like a EJ20 SOHC and then eventually have it turbo charged. I'm not after a power house, ...

Quick Q
Can anyone tell me if a L series A/C 'kit' (all components) will fit into my 90 Brumby?

Cheers

Thanks Gents for your response. I already have a plastic bumper with the chrome tube waiting to go on. Does anyone know if the Leone valace/lower lip will fit to the front of my brumby? Clearly it will go on some how, but how easily? Also if someone knows of a Leone been wreaked let me know. Cheers ...

Different front lips?

Hello. I'm taking the alloy bumper off the front of my Brumby to fit the black plastic style one (purely because I prefer the look of it). However I have noticed that my front is different to some and possibly has been modified in some places. So time for some photos. Mine is the Red colour (P101015...

Agreed. Do some research on the forum about it. L series casings can accommodate EJ gearbox internals and rear casings. The other mods wouldn't be too hard to achieve, as I've said, just do some research. Someone was selling MY (brumby) based gearbox crossmembers to fit the EJ gearbox to your brumb...

Thanks Gents I'll look at getting a photo up soon.
23 spline front output shafts, shifters are off the back of transmission and there is some wiring there too. Although I didn't pay attention to what it was connected to.
I'll update with a photo probably tomorrow.

Thanks

Identify this Gearbox

Hello, when I purchased my brumby it came with a spare gearbox. It clearly is different to the factory Brumby box, but I dont know what it's from. There is a sticker on it that says - FR-TW75F9AIC It has two shifter sticks, and from the feel if it, it's a 5 speed. What information could I provide to...

Well the miss is gone! I had a poke around in the bay for some time and pulled vac hoses off and on, generally just had a play, and it's stopped!! So would assume that there was a vacume leak of some sort causing the problem. However I did notice that there is a small idler pully on the front of the...

I wonder if it could be the vacume advance on the Dizzy?
When I push the plunger in and block the vac line, the plunger will come out.
Anyone know if you can get these on there own?

Thanks Alex. Yeah that's the way I was heading (ignition fault of some sort.) But all looks good. The Rotor cap is a bit rough, but shouldn't cause a intermittent fault. Fuel filters are new. Another one I found while googling, was faulty (cutting out) fuel pump. That, to me at least doesn't sound l...

Low RPM Miss

Hello. We'll my newly acquired '90 Brumby has some issues that I would like your assistance in fixing (hence user name!). I'll do threads as I go, to separate the issues. First things First. She is a bog stock standard '90 Agquip Brumby (any diff between ag and non ag?). The old girl runs perfect (a...
