Electrical gremlins
Hey guys, Had a break down in the mighty l series the other day. Cheers for the reply's. I'm just travelling and bought the car a month ago, haven't done a single thing to it apart form making sure all fluids are in check. They've never moved apart from this saga. No visible leaks in coolant, the level has remained constantly full since. Interesting point on the ...

Overheating
Hey Crew My noble stead overheated on me yesterday. It's a 1998 outback which I understand is pretty common on these things. Luckily I saw the temp gauge start to rise and shut her off. Ended up crawling to an incline, unscrewing the bleed screw, filled with coolant. Turned the heater on full and wa...

I'd say your one spline out, you will have to get one of those pins out with pliers or something then put a pin punch through to knock the other one out, try not to get it stuck as well. Take the cup off then get a torch and make sure that the holes are lined up perfectly before you put the pin thro...

The cheaper way of doing it would be to source an ej25 short block and put the 2.2 heads and inlet manifold on as they all bolt up with a little work on the head gaskets as the coolant channels don't quite line up. Called a high compression frankenmotor, there's a lot about it on the american subaru...

300 seem's a decent price. Just did this to a mate's liberty and had problems finding the spring hats, so if you can get the complete set thats a bonus. If you buy new struts, depending on whether you have the air suspension or not you might have to find the strut tops and hats from somewhere. As fo...

Yeah first off-roading with the ej22 ended with this...... http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i466/woodyt36/IMG_2426.jpg We had gone through a similar puddle to the right and it was reasonably shallow so didnt bother checking the next one, and turns out there was a massive ditch in the middle of th...

Sounds good mate! Are you sure it's injectors that is the issue with the 2 cylinders that are down?? Cheers Bennie Yeah not exactly sure. Changed the spark plugs today, and we have spark. Also when we pull the injector plugs off it makes no difference to how it runs at all, both of the injectors ar...
