to make an ea82t go hard...you only need the factory ecu and disconnect the over boost switch and the zero boost switch then connect a 200cc - 300cc holden injecter v6=200cc 5.7=300cc.. it really does not matter as long as its 200cc or 300cc or somewhere in between, and have the 7.5 psi overboost sw...

I had a NA EJ20 in front of a EA L series box and used the low range on mostly beaches which is a lot of load on a gear. Shouldn't be any probs generally as the EJ/EA low swap shows, the EJ gearbox is essentially an EA gearset in a slightly different housing. ie Subaru were happy for that gearset to...

Warn do a winch caddie that is for mounting to non winch vehicles, or for use with alloy bullbars. About $300 I think. You'll need chassis rail extensions to mount it to. You won't find off the shelf winch bars for an L series. If you really want one though just go through a 4wd mag and find someone...

I had a 185kw L series sedan and yes it was 'exciting'

Bought an MY05 Forester today, used to belong to one of the paediatricians in town, sold and serviced by local subie dealer, 65000km's $20k, one of the 'weekender' special editions, has a funky seat design and hard plastic boot liner. Tell ya what, I always berated the lack of low down torque of the...

Insurance is settled, now officially looking for a new used car. Drove a Honda Accord Euro yesterday and they are awfully sweet... Can't buy back a wreck of a flood damaged car through NRMA so if I want it I have to go to the auction like everyone else. Anyone that is looking for a pretty good Outba...

Got a call from insurance company today and it has been written off. Just waiting on the claims people to finalise now. Out of interest I am going to get a buyback price just to see, if its stupid low I might just buy it and spend the time to clean it up - or part it, I want the MOMO airbag wheel in...

Sorry to hear that - you may have been fine with the lift, better get a snorkel on the next one  Or park on higher ground whenever it rains. Would have needed 10" or more of total lift to avoid wet carpets. Even the patrol would have struggled to come out dry where the outback was. Keep in...

Bloody hell, not good Ben. Hopefully it will be sorted quickly for you. Time for a current model H6 maybe? Depending on the outcome, Wifey wants another wagon either Liberty or Outback. Hard part is blow all the payout on a gen 4 or get another gen 3 and pocket some cash.... There are some Gen 4 GT...

An Outback Story (Warning images may be distressing to some viewers...)

So, many of you may know that it has rained a little of the last couple of days here in (normally) sunny Coffs Harbour. My wife recently had our second baby and I was visiting her at the hospital and had to leave to get my first son from daycare. This is what I saw when I got to the car... http://im...

Gannon, if you want a hand let me know, it can be a little tricky getting the crank cover off, you shouldn't need to though, pop the head and pull the clinder off, check it for wear, have it bored if needed then take the cylinder with you to the mower shop cos there is a few oversize options and you...

Its a little chinese mass produced job, CQ6230 produced in the 1980's and supplied to machinery suppliers to rebrand as their own. Sweet, I have the exact same machine but in Hafco livery. Yeah, doesn't have the herbs of the big 3 ph machines, but can do good work. I used to have the Rong Fu RF-31 ...

Another vote for the Honda, I have one after my old victa caught fire. It is as good as Honda say it is!

That said, can't beat the $40 rebuild for the old victa 160's!

Not dodgy at all so long as you do it properly and weld a piece of flat bar on the cross member and then use an offset head bolt to bear on the flat bar and give adjustability. This is *exactly* how a camber bolt works and is what a suspension workshop would do if you asked them to give you more neg...
