Thanks mate, problem's fixed. I never knew what that switch was for! I must have accidentally switched it on when I was cleaning the interior yesterday. I feel so stupid!

That's what I'm worried about. I've already got the wheels/tyres for the car and I'd rather go the 3" lift but I've heard that any higher than 2" is illegal. I don't want my insurance to be void if they find out I've done this. May as well not bother insuring at all.

Just wondering who people go through to insure their lifted L series. I'm wanting to go the usual 3" with 14s and 27x8.5s and want 3rd Party because it's a daily driver. Thanks, Marty.

G'day, I was just wondering how much an EJ20 motor and box would be worth. I'd imagine that there would be a few in wreckers these days from 1990s model Imprezas and the like. I wouldn't mind putting one in my car some day, wouldn't want to pay too much though. Thanks, Marty.

I think I'm just expecting too much out of an 18 year old carby motor. As long as it's reliable I think I will just learn to live with the engines imperfections.

I checked the cam timing and everthing is fine. The plugs and timing are good, when I got the car I wound the timing up until it pinged and then backed it off until it didn't (my technique on all my cars). There's no vacuum leaks. I had the same problem with my L series when I had the interior out for wiring my stereo. I traced the problem to two holes in the floor under the lower section of the back seat.
