I live in the hinterland and would be good to catch up with other Subaru enthusiasts. I can be difficult to pin down so need notice of when and where.

The Impressa on the Sunshine Coast has a price drop to $6000 ONO.

Just heard this veh must be sold within 3 weeks and open to all offers. Could be a bargain for someone!

Try a TM2 engine temp watchdog, it has a digital temp readout and audible alarm that can be set to whatever temp you want. See it at enginewatchdog.com or phone 3277 6770 (Signals Australia) I have one in my L Series and it works well

Yes, does squirt fuel, not sure how much it should spray tho. I will compare it with another L series when I get back in town.

Acceleration flatspot

I have a 1985 auto 2wd leone with a EA82 motor that has a very noticeable flatspot from idle. I have cleaned and blown out the carbie, checked out the vacume hoses and replaced the accelerator pump for no change. It is ok when manual choke is on. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Another 'seen for sale'

Just heard of two L sedans (85 and 86 models) one is in good shape 191000km and one for parts. Both have sat for 9 months but were apparently running up til then. Location: Sunshine Coast Hinterland. $450 for the pair. I can put anyone interested in touch with owner. 0418 152 355

Thanks for all the info. Have never used ethanol blended fuel. Its looking like premium fuel is the go. Will just have to wear the price hit and stop being miserable!!

Not sure what the valve was, may have been something to do with the emission control from memory. The book recomends unleaded 95ron or over 90ron if it is not available. I dont remember it pinging even when towing a camper trailer and premium fuels were not available

Was in Birdsville late June, did the trip in 3 easy days from Aratula via Thargomindah, Ballera, Arrubury and Betoota. Direct route via Dalby / Windorah is all bitumen apart from 280 km which was good when we were on it. (about 1800km). Expect cold nights and nice days. PM me if you would like more ...
