beleive it or not, the reservoir also has to be full. its not just a cathment for overflowing coolant, it also gets sucked back into the radiator when the engine gets hot for the first time since a coolant change! During the first heat cycle, all the chambers around the cylinders which were otherwis...

If so count how may seconds it takes between the engine start and the smoke billowing out. IF its imidiate then its the rings letting oil through at rest (cool). If it...

i garuantee you, if take off ur front disc rotors, they will be warped. Now, when ppl hear warped and think about the vibration, they think warped means bent on one side and not the other, this is not true. Warped means, the centre of the disc has been pushed into itself, basicly coning the disc, wh...

it really sounds like slapping and not detonation. if its slapping, then the rings are also shot. u cant have slapping without rings being hurt from it. When the slap happens, it opens up enough of a gap to allow massive amounts of oil to get past the oil rings (at the bottom of piston) and usually ...

what was the result here? heater core system could have been faulty, which leaks coolant into ur car, and sometimes never drips through ur floor pan, therefor u dont see any drips and u get all suspicious of head-gaskets! if theres no mix between oil and coolant (verify by looking at oil on dipstick...

KJO, oupla things, before u get started. the oil in combustion chamber at startup is as others have said, stem seals or rings/pistons or both. as the boxer engine/s rocker covers fill UP with oil (towards the side of the cover), usually a heat worn stem seal will take a bit of time to actually start...

Warped Rotors and Dodgy PS Rack
Hey all When braking i get the vigorous shaking of the steering wheel and can feel it through the brake pedal, therefore i suspect warped rotors. I also know that my steering rack has a little bit of play in it, when i turn a hard left, then straighten out, the steering wheel is off to the left when...
