Umm not sure what gen it is, all I know is it is a 89'.....as soon as it is fixed I will be putting it up for sale as I want to upgrade I haven't been on ebay to look but most of the L series I have seen on car sales and gumtree in adelaide that are in the same condition as mine seem to go between $...

Cheers mate, while I don't think I will get 2k for it from what I have seen on car sales and cars guide I mite ask $1600 for it...in which case it proberly would be worth fixing....quotes so far are $250 for a diagnosis and $320 approx for a diagnosis

Its fuel injected and im in Adelaide not far from the CBD....motor is fine I really do think its just a electrical problem but im not very cluely with these motors so it is limited what I can do and I really don't want to book it in to a repair only to find that I lose money getting it fixed Anyway ...

Quick question about distributors

Just wondering if anyone knows it if it possible to put a older model distributor out of a carby feed model into a newer fuel injected model
I notice the differents is the older ones have a vaccume advance on the side and has two wires instead of four

Where the hell is the ignition module....I downloaded what I could of a gregorys guide and been looking though threads all night and still can not come up with where it is located....

Hey mate, thanks for the advice, went along way, I tested the dizzy and it still turns so can't be a drive belt now However I pulled one of the spark plugs out to test it and no spark From that would the problem be a ****ed dissy or coil?...I believe that this car had a new reconditioned coil put on...

Yer, when I lost all electrics I checked all the fuses to find that one of the links had broken....I I made up another one...The wire I used I reakon would be overkill but did the job, once it was repaired I had power again but it wouldn't start after that, it would crank but just would start....aft...

Haven't had anything installed and been though all the fuses, will by a test light tomorrow and test the coil
