That diagram is mostly correct however you need to get the power to the switch coming from the headlights negative (the black wire which has 12v when the lights are on) otherwise you can't control when the spotlights activate. Also the high beam positive (earth) is the green wire not red (on my car).

And got the wifey to help so I could clamp the lines on shutdown and... Clamping the supply line after the filter held pressure - that means the pump is stopping flow properly. Clamping the return line after the reg did the same thing, so the injectors are ok but suggests the reg isn't holding press...

And I went for a drive with the gauge strapped to the windscreen and saw... Slow speed for gear (eg 3rd at 30) pressure flapping (fast) between 25 and 43psi before flattening out at 36ish under load. Under full boost (7psi) fuel pressure about 43psi. Under decelleration and gentle acceleration, 30ps...

Ok so with no real improvement with the injector cleaner (might have been a bit but not as much as needed), I bought a fuel pressure gauge. On starting, pressure immediately went to 32psi (from 0). Low/rough idle still present. On revving, pressure went to 38-40 then back to 32. When I removed the v...

Ok I changed the cts tonight so I'll see if that helps at all. A quick test suggests not... I think it's either an injector pissing out fuel or a bad pump as I'm losing about 90% of fuel line and return line pressure within about 5 mins of shutting off the engine. I took all the injectors out last w...

EA82t warm/hot start idle problem
Ok so I had the car worked on a couple of weeks ago by some mechanics trying to reduce fuel consumption and sluggishness at speed. They put it on the dyno and worked out it was waaaaay rich in 3rd & 4th because the air flow meter was apparently reading higher voltage than it should. They played arou...

Sounds reasonable - my problems seem to be occurring after I've been using the spotties (100W also) for a while, and when the RAA bloke was playing with it last night he said the wire was getting pretty warm. My wire didn't 'blow' per se, but the connector on one side was all tarnished and couldn't ...

I've joined the fusible link failing crew and found this very informative thread. Can one of you guys spell out clear and simple (for the less technically minded) what colour plastic FLs I can swap out the wire ones for? Am I correct in following that the black one should be swapped with light blue ...

EA82t injectors
Are the injectors in all 3-pin ecu EA82t's the same part number?
I'm planning on getting them out to clean and want to get some new rubber seals.
I also see that the hose seems to be attached fairly firmly - is there a specific procedure for removing them?
thanks
