I bought it from Sunspares a few years ago with a view of putting it in my DL. I ended up putting in o...

sorry to but in here but does the tourer cluster have a manual or auto centre? I might be interested if Marty isnt. I've got an auto centre for a manual car which is annoying me a bit.

Thanks Timmo, we'll be looking into this as a last resort on the weekend. I just got an update when i told dad your theory. One question, can the pump suck oil and not leak oil when the engine is not running? The update: This lifter ticking problem does not occur in the morning when laura drives to...

Hey Subi - are you running an air to air intercooler? whats it out of? I'm thinking about intercooling options - I know the a WAIC from an RS is a good option but i'm kinda interested in an air to air IC.

I guess you replaced the oil pump seals when you did the rebuild, but maybe look into this- it might be sucking air.

The clutch fan (run off the water pump) should engage when you switch the a/c on, but I would have thought the electric one is only switched on/off by the temp sensor in the radiator but I may be wrong.

Which fan are you referring too? the electric or the one run off the water pump? The electric fan only runs when the water temperature reaches a certain level

Sounds like a break - when I broke mine the oil light came on momentarily before the engine cut out. The easiest way to check the belts would be just to whip off the p...
