Recent trip 5000km diesel outback 2010

Hi Mate we recently went up to exmouth tom price from perth mostly tar roads but a lot of rough unsealed roads no problems at all aside from a blown tyre and the effen temporary spare. Cruising in the country is no issue with 6th gear but they need a good run at least once a week if town running, i ...

Update from Perth

15000km over here regularly driven in 40 and up to 43 in the summer and never missed a beat. Im still suspicious its a fuel issue but i do drive mine like a wrx at times, and continue to use a fuel additive which I do on all cars I have owned for some time. And for those who who say dont use it a dp...

all the guys on here who have had vibrations at 2000 revs, mine was fixed recently, it was down to the large o ring on the exhaust joint. A new ring has cured it. Also my problems with engine knocking, tapping seem to be fixed by a replacement high pressure pump suction control valve. 6mths to sort ...

Shudder

13000km and no shudder, lights, any thing really. I drive it hard and fuel use stays around 7l 100km. But mostly its driven on school runs. I try and take it out once a week for a thrash. I notice this seems to be a lower east coast issue. Ive googled and cant see much else elswhere, I imagine if th...

Found on vw forum same old issues going around

"I've found if you avoid the sub 1800rpm range during normal driving, and make sure to get some open road / flowing driving in during the week, you raise the exhaust temps sufficiently to burn off the soot trapped, you rarely notice any regens happening. If you drive in start stop traffic, do lots o...

2010 outback no issue

mmm yeah its easy to see things only through your own experience, in hindsght a true automatic system should need no thought or action from a driver, if subaru responded to me i had caused an issue through incorrect driving technique ie changing gear in accordance with the gear change indicator I wo...

12000 unblemished Km

Never a shudder or a flicking light or any issue whatsoever touch wood. 2010 ( feb build I think) outback diesel in Perth. The engine runs and spins up like a sewing machine I can't fault it. It certainly seems to do a lot of thinking ie a lot of background CPU action but when it's on song it remind...
