Timing light not always firing

Adjusted my timing today on the L series, first time using one but went fine ... Except noticed the light did not flash every time...probably once every few seconds it wouldnt flash. Wondering if this means I might not be getting a spark consistently or if its down to the timing light? All appeared ...

Weird spark plug problem

Way too lazy to go take a pic but basically the boots on the 2 spark plugs on the passenger side sit higher than they do on the drivers side. As in both end at roughly where the ripples are on the spark plug but on the drivers side it pretty much covers the whole thing bar a few mm at the end. From ...

Mine arrived today, looks decent for the price. Seems pretty solid, doesnt look like it will break easily.

Keen to install but looks like I may have to sell the car now. ****.

Lack of pics = rough as guts
350,000km's = rough as guts
Auto = gay as AIDS.

I've got no doubt its a bitsa or stolen/reshell.

Why be serious about sound in an L series?

Besides, not all of us are interested in wasting money on things that cost nearly as much as the car.

I've been running 98 in my EA82 these last few weeks, definitely notice the difference to 91. About to advance the timing to 12 later this week as well to see how much of a difference it makes.

Containers usually go every 6-8 weeks from memory, pretty much when it's full it comes.

Just found this one too - http://www.ryda.com.au/Axis-AX-1100-Car-USB-SD-Multimedia-Tuner-p/ax1100.htm ALOT smaller than the eBay one, 86mm deep versus 130mm. But eBay seems to have more features. Edit: Bluetooth model - http://www.ryda.com.au/Axis-AX-1102BT-Car-Bluetooth-USB-SD-Tuner-p/ax1102bt.htm

Not sure if it's worth anything to you but I got a timing light off eBay, $40 + free express postage. Usual auto shops wanted $80+ for it.

Should arrive early next week.

Sweet - minor trimming of the fascia obviously, do you just add a single DIN pocket underneath or is that a Subaru size one?

Jumbuck's are so dodgey & cheap, alright for a runabout if you get it cheap enough but yeah, very cheaply built.

Apparently there's a big movement about the shark diving in cages, 'associating' the sharks that free feed with humans in the water...next logical step for them is to attack the humans if there is no feed. May be a bit of a stretch but I get what they mean, leave them alone & they wont be as interes...

+1 for dynamat in the doors. I plan to go the cheap route & get some carpet underlay under my floor & maybe even see if there's enough room above the headliner for a thin layer.

Sorry but I just dont understand why people skimp on tyres. Its an extremely important part of the car & your life is not worth a little bit more money in the pocket. Buy new & buy quality.
