Where abouts in adelaide are you mate? wouldn't mind seeing your car / engine. I have a Brumby with either a head gasket or cracked head. i was quoted for an EJ approx $900 without or $1200? with gear box.

Do you have an imobiliser / key/pinpad to start it.
My dads sti sometimes does this. you punch in the code but it doesn't pump fuel to the engine so it starves itself. (as the imobiloiser pumps fuel to the injectors when activated)

A Reputable chain of South Aus Subaru dealer / mechanics i went to didn't know what the ea81 in my brumby was. (pussrod / overhead cam ) I was asking about head gaskets. Im 15 and I knew which one it was.

Good, it will take time but you will find it. its better to be patient and find the perfect one rather than rush out and buy a shi!!y one, where you end up tearing your hair out over frustraition!

Hello, Yes i know it's probably on the forum somewhere but trust me i have been looking. My 91 Brumby has a very loose steering wheel. ie. you turn it 45 degrees before it does anything. Not sure about a heritage, but in my dads 02 STi, it has key recognition. ie so if you have a key that is cut right, it still wont start the car untill subaru program it. (his is a key and remote all in one)
