Did the battery dance for 1-1/2" and undid the 2 plugs. Put the battery terminal back on and kicked her over. YAY no more '...

So I'm heading around there in the morning along with a DMM and I'll rip the one off the motor. Hopefully get to see just how they do come off. It does look like a split pin spring type ar...

G'day Guy's, One of the projects I intend to do is turn that cnc I made into a 3D printer. I had a chat with my good mate who gave me that subi who is also an engineer about it and instead of using plastic wire using grated plastic. I'm starting to have a rethink about the cylinder liners now and I'm thinking a hydraulic ram or 2 may be the go, already polished bore so no real honing needed. A quick lick in the lathe so get a good surface finish on the OD then shrink a heatsink casting over the liner tube. As you guys have stat...

Hi Stork, From the research I have done on the 2 stroke diesels you have got it wrong way around. Slots are machined into the liner just above the bottom of the stroke where air is forced in and as the piston starts to rise the single or double exhaust valve opens to expel the exhaust then just unde...

Is this engine a diesel? Hi AJ, First I need to learn to crawl with this project so it will be setup as a driven air compressor to prove what I've made can handle the rpm etc without failure. Then I'll make a radial cam so it can run off compressed air and get the timing and everything sorted that ...

No worries mate and sorry I forgot to thank you for looking for me too. Thinking on $200 + postage for the set of 5 isn't that much and I do like the look of the piston as they have a low profile which is what I planned so I can get more stroke. My next bathroom starting next week is worth over 2K s...
