Taza and I are currently in the middle of a project to SC14 supercharge both his EJ20 and my EJ25. Hardest part is the mount since it must be mounted off the engine itself. A SC14 unit can be had for $350-400. Then gear like BOVs, possibly an upgraded carby for the EA81, and piping etc. In total you...

L Series stalls at idle.
Hi,
Taza and i recently scored an EA82 L series for 300 bucks that actually runs and physically is in decent condition all things considered. Gearbox seems alright and all engine power seems alright, except that when coming to a stop, the engine will just die.
Could this be the timing?
Cheers.

I seem to remember your car and mine being the only 2 lifted ones at Two Rocks and Wibinga with 17 other Subarus..... It'll go fine but of course lift does help. And every single one of them struggled. Im saying if you want to have a much more enjoyable experience try somewhere a little easier unti...

Deffinately possible as it has been done on similar gearboxes, however an easier option is dropping a 1st gen Forester low range in there. As far as i know it is a straight swap? And the forester low range deffinately is more than capable enough considering the price and relative ease it can be done...

All those places Taza mentioned i wouldnt reccommend attempting in a stock height outback without decent size all terrains. They are very challenging locations, Two Rocks/ Wibinga caused huge problems even for my 4.5" above stock height outback. At the pines there are some areas where clearance isnt...

HID kits with absolutely chew up and spit out any halogen bulbs you can throw at them. The light output is INSANE. I deffinitely do not reccomend installing HIDs on low beam, but if you have separate high beam and also for driving lights, HID's are deffinitely the way to go. They are brilliant. Only...

For springs go to most mechnics or repco or specialty suspension store and ask for 1" raised heavy duty king springs for your subaru.
Edit: missed that you are from england, I am unsure of the availability of the springs there so you will probably have to order and have them shipped from the website.

no theyre not. Perhaps not in pure performance no they arent. They are pretty close though and a lot of the time better, depends how the cars are set up. But where they are undeniably superior is the fun factor. It is so much more fun to dominate the dunes in a subi where you can just burn around a...

How would one go about making sway bar disconnects for a 3rd gen outback? Also what is a swaybar haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The swaybar is the bar that runs from endlinks on the inside of each wheel across the underside of the car. It is very important as it is what lessens body roll. ...

I had toyo teo plus h/ts and they are absolutely fantastic tires. In mild beach work when let down enough they went surprisingly great for a h/t. On road they are incredible. On road they destroy the geo a/t in every way. Offroad the geo a/t destroys the toyo. Depends what you want better at. Both t...

Best cv boots
Hi.
I have a 3" lifted 3rd gen outback and with the lift my cheap but brand new boots at the front split. So I am looking for some new boots that are the best heavoest duty most sorted to handling the greater cv angles.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers
