I've been using an LSD gear oil in my gearbox as it's better in hotter conditions - if you're planning to be doing some tough 4wd'n that will heat the gearbox it could be a good idea. I found mine shifted better after the gear change. Cheers Bennie Ooh ooh! Do tell ? What is it? Brand etc etc that'...

Sorry I've got no idea I was given 8 litres by a mate of mine when he moved house. I did a search and the only price I could find was in English pounds £28.78 for 4 litres. which according to the currency chocolate wheel is $44.50 AU. According to the gregorys manual you need 3.3 litres, I normally...

there are many brands and it depends on how much you want to spend. I have fuchs mp80 titan gear oil in my brumby box (admittedly it is a 5 speed liberty single range) and it works well. Jetcar has repco brand gear oil in it for now, when I have time I will change it to the same oil as my brumby. T...

Gearbox oil (91 Brumby)
What's the best type/brand of gearbox oil to use for the standard 4 speed Brumby box?
I've noticed it's getting a bit thin.... ( it's probably never been changed)

On board air set ups !
Has anyone got any on board air set ups?
How did you connect them up?
What size tanks did you use?
Any pics?
I've got a Tmax Taipan, that I'd like to plumb into a tank permanently mounted on the car , to run larger ( ha ha) air horns, and air up tyres, cleaning of cabs etc

Some didn't think these disc rears were all that much better, but may have compared excellent drum rear to used disc rear end just before conversion - they are fantastic aren't they. Agreed with Bennie DOT3 was likely best spec in 1980's ! They are awesome .. Excellent pedal, great braking with lit...

Brake Fluid question ?
I have just done a rear disc conversion on the Brumby . I bought some Nulon brake fluid for it to bleed the brakes which is Super DOT 4!
The cap on the master cylinder says " Use only DOT3" !
Am I still able to use it?
