Are these knock-offs, or real, and would these be a good upgrade to increase the performance of the Legacy ? :)...

Heard that the air flow meters are sensitive to K&N pod filters, however, it might be due to the fact that they were on earlier models. Apart, from the open air filter, are there any other obvious mods that can make a big difference?
