Just come across this USA discussion for an 88 model.

Not sure what an 88 Justy is equivalent to. However, they locate the ignition module to being above/near the hood leaver and is attached to side wall.

I cut down allot of engine noise on my 89 model EA82 after fixing up the seals on the exhaust manifolds. I left the old gaskets on and added new gaskets with some gasket exhaust cement. This significantly cut down the engine rattles.

Subaru had the parts imported from Japan in about a week and a half (picked them up and installed them 15/02/12) - Cost for distributor and rotor $116.10. Distributor cap part number 2216AA040, Rotor part number 22157AA001
