I do think the Steelies look good on the older girls. Up to you though, if you want them drive up some time and we'll swap them over. I aint selling it just now, prolly a good few weeks. Just thought Id ask here first, if anyone was interested they could get in touch. I also found my spare weber jet...

afraid so Jules, I use it maybe once a month, usually just to keep it going. The room in my garage is worth more to me. Probably stick it on gumtree in a few weeks when I get time.

If you want to swap the wheels onto your sedan let me know.

Anyone interested in a Vortex?

Howdy all, Sick of tripping over my Vortex in the shed so I think its probably best to get rid of it before it wastes away any more. Its an 86 FWD not turbo manual with original motor. Runs pretty good, Ive been driving it the last couple of days to keep it moving. Aircon works, pretty much everythi...

In my case Jonno is doesnt matter a whole lot because I can set it in software, though its nice to not have the missing tooth on a TDC. The other thing to consider is that there is going to be electrical delay between the vr sensor picking up the signal and the spark actually firing in the cylinder....

yeah...fuses...aint no body got time for that :p Nah I dont have a fuse. Maybe check if the original one does. The only thing slightly annoying about the forrester alt is its actually rotated 180deg on its shaft axis on an EJ. This puts the connector and battery binding post underneath near the mani...

Im using a forri alternator. I think its 80 amp. Year was Mid 2000's from memory. Bolts straight on and same wiring setup as the old one. Will need to machine around 2mm from the MY alternator pulley spacer for better belt alignment. Throw the rest of the hitachi in the "art" tub.

Cheers WayneO............ I have no idea WayneO, might be a question best addressed to Pau...

I set my redline at 5500 because Im already asking for it . I don't think you will hurt anything revving it up. Its got a square bore from memory and I personally think the con rods are more then up for the amount of power going thru the engine. The heavy pushrod valve system and large sin...

If you got one, compare your map sensor to a mechanical engine vac gauge. Map sensors are pretty sensitive and the rough running engine could be the cause of the bad map readings. Does the map signal smooth out with the engine? Ie steady revs at 2k?

Lifting the car up with the torsion rod will swing the wheel forward in the wheel arch, reducing the distance between the contact patch of the tire and the pivot of the torsion rod on the horizontal plain, so technically it will actually give a stiffer initial spring rate but the effect will probabl...

Easy check wayne, get up to speed. Push clutch in and observe noise. Neutral with clutch in. Neutral with clutch out. Maybe even try 4 or third with clutch depressed while rolling at speed. You can kill the engine while your rolling to get a better ear full, it will also rule out the engine making t...

We got one of these types for work the other day. Using m6 Stainless rivnuts the thread galled and was basically chooched after about 3. Probably fine for mild steel rivnuts.
