what pin in the ecu needs ignition pulse?

just traced the wires on the pin out you wrote up, quite a few differences to the one i have firstly when it comes to wire color where you written L my wires are BLUE? pin 04 has a yellow wire 18 has no wire 19 has no wire 20 has white(sheilded) wire 21 has no wire 22 has yellow wire with blue trace...

just reading through it al again, there are controls going in the the ecu for fuel pump and current control etc. i am running an inline fuel pump completly seperate from the ecu loom. will this cause problems, i dont have to have it running through the ecu do i?
just a thought.

sorry i put you wrong there the motor is already in the boat and the loom completly stripped out of the car. we have got the whole vechile loom spread out on the boat floor and began plugging everything in and hookin up power feeds etc. only thing that not working is injection signal. so na no vin p...

ok great i will try that monday. not sure what test light he used but an LED should have quite a visable flicker even when just cranking it over should it?

ok thanks i will show the sparkie what youve suggested and go from there it may take a few days tho. not sure on the engine light as i have just the engine loom but not the dash etc. we are just trying to run the motor, then start stripping off the wires we dont need to run the motor and fitting it ...
