I'm fitting a hybrid ea81/82 AC to a turbo Ea82 Brumby. I left out that that the ea82 fan switch has about 8 or 9 wires coming out, into 2 sockets. Obviously one to the resistor and other to AC harness, + earth Brumby has 4 out of switch. The 2 switches are physically different sizes and haven't pro...

Here's fan circuit/ fault diagnosing. Note not shown is the bundle of wires attached to the fan switch. I assume the extra wiring is for the AC harness. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170303/c9712ec3d6395829d4b6ec188ac5f69f.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170303/4a91a30177ae74c4b7c2c625981b...

If your using an ea81 engine, just use ea81 flywheel, pressure plate assy and throwout bearing, with a starter spacer. Use the 5 speed plate but.
Throwout bearings are the interchangeable from memory, rebuildable cast steel for ea81, sealed unit for 5 speed.

I'm assuming D/R is dual range. You don't mention 4wd as a need. Your best bet is to get the ea82 5speed and a Liberty DR 5 speed AWD box and swap the innards around, if the lower dual range ratio and 4wd setup is needed. Easy way is just source the Liberty DR AWD box and fit that. No adaptor plates...

If you get the dash make sure you get everything-
IE crashpad, instrument surround, vents, wiring etc.
Found that out the hard way, cluster by itself is no good!

My Brumby has a 2" lift kit and tyre wears great. Wears the outside edge smooth, with the rest of the tyre on wear limit markers. Top strut mounts have set the strut inwards to make the camber closer to 0 degree. Can't tell you settings as never been wheel aligned. If the kit is made solid, alignmen...

Sounds like the idle jet is blocked. It's a brass screw on the throttle side about midway up the Carby. There's a fine jet on the end of this. Plus make sure the o'ring still intact. Another check is for manifold leaks. I've had 2 webbers on an EA81,an early 2l Cortina and a late emissions Escort ca...

I think 3" kits are illegal to use on a road registered cars.
Would expect a complete 2" lift kit would be worth a couple of hundred $ anyway. The're would be over a $100+ in just bolts alone, especially if they're missing.

torque to yield bolts can be identified by the shape of the threads. ordinary threads have a sharp edge, torque to yield bolts are rounded as is the thread on the hole, so ordinary bolts cannot be interchanged. this is explained on the packaging of the gasket. the racing hq guys have the heads off ...

Have you checked the front and rear diff are the same ratios? I got a flat tyre on my Brumby with a WRX 4.44 diff and 14 sunraysias and fitted a std 13 wheel on the rear and the vibration was that bad from the viscous centre. Tailshaft was rattling that bad I thought it was going to fall off. I was ...

Just be wary that you'll blow the bum out of the non electronic coil. There's a difference in the resistance of the coil.
I think from memory that if you use an electronic coil with points, the points burn.
