G'day, dedicated hot and Earth probably the best way. You wont get a high current ground from the chassis as it is connected to the engine only (for the starter). You have fusing so that is OK, make sure the cable run is protected is probably most important, not around sharp panels, brackets etc wit...

G'day, you are right, the inlet is in the barrel. I dunno what I was thinking there...I should also add that you need a supercharger to make it work. There is very limited overlap to get the exhaust out. Usually 2 stroke diesels are low speed so it is not as big an issue. (Low speed = around 1500 rp...

G'day, you might find petrol engine pistons too light for a diesel. Remember diesels run 17:1 or more compression, I doubt pitbike ones will stand the stress. Everything has to be heavier as a result. 2 Stroke diesels also use an exhaust port in the barrell, only one valve for an inlet. Might be eas...

G'day, there is a better way. Disconnect the sensor and put a voltmeter onto the wire (assuming it is a single wire type). You should see a fluctuating voltage between 0 and 1 volt. 0.5 is correct -the voltage will move up and down as the computer adjusts the injection pulse width. In my experience,...

G'day, not sure specifically about Brumbies, but there is two ways to earth the car properly. 1- The negative terminal has a large cable that goes from the battery to the block, and then a smaller one runs from the block to the body. 2 - The Large cable goes to the block as above, and a second small...

This is often caused by a poor ground connection or a dirty battery terminal. A weak glimmer means a small current flow, but your volt meter indicates that the alternator is charging. If there was a crook diode in there it wouldn't charge or out put would be low. If it was one of the rectifier diode...

G'day, Tambox is right, your clutch is dragging. It means that it is not disengaging fully. do the easy check as suggested above -try selecting first and reverse with the engine off. After that check your clutch adjustment first - you should have about 3mm of travel at the fork before it begins to c...

G'day, the carbon buildup on the back of your inlet valves is a sign that oil is getting through the stem seals and valve guides. It's probably just hardened valve stem seals, but the guides will need checking and replacement if they are worn. This causes the puff of blue smoke you see when you let ...
