is there anything else that can make the tappet noise but isnt the tappets ???

hi my friend told me that its bad to use 98octane in my ea82 mpfi l series is this true ?

what r the pros an cons of subaru liberty an l series weather it be street driven or off road ?

what about a 1.8 from a impreza is that a quick swap ?

is there something special u have to do in a l series to do an engine swap with a liberty or is it a quick swap ?

hay is there any other subaru seats that would just bolt in my l series maybe some sti seats ?

mine has 251.000k's on it

so use diesel oil in a petrol motor all right it just seems a bit funny thats all

so i can try 15w-50 petrol engine oil an if it dont work then try diesel oil 20w-50 right ?

so its a twin cam lol cool

how many cams does a ea82 l series have ?

so will 15w-50 or 10w-50 quiet up the tappets ? right now im using 20w-50 engine oil

hay i have an idea right now im using 20w-50 oil an i think if i use 15w-50 or 10w-50 that it will quiet up the tappets do u think it will work or will it cause more problems ?

well i will be paying someone to do it cause im not tha mech minded i can change a tyre spark plugs spark plug leads fuel filter air filter oil filter an change oil but thats all i know i wont atemp anything else to paranoid to do it lol

so what would be yous best bet should i replace the tappets to get rid of the noise or try getting the oil pressure up to get rid of the noise ? leeks oil on driver side front half of engine but only two drops after turn car after driving it

so wha would be your best bet that its ether just tappets need fixing or oil pressure ? it does leak a little from the front mainly front driver side of motor o k so bigger the tyre the more it will chu petrol hmm

it being typical ea 82 does tha mean tappets or oil pressure? an will putting on bigger rims do anything to the speed or rev say insted of 3000rpm 100km/h it will be 2800rpm 100km/h im going from standerd 13inch rim to 14inch ?

oh an is it normal for a l series to sit on 3000 revs when doing 100km/h in 5th gear ?
