What sealant for carby instal ?
I am finally getting to the weber instal time. I have the adapter plates and gaskets, I used supplied gaskets and made the others from a roll bought from Auto1. I am wondering if using LOCTITE No.3 non-hardening aviation sealant is ok. The reason is because I have a bottle of it! It states resistant...

Thanks guys for the help, It is the metal pipe behind the manifold. I will try cutting it down a little and use the original hose. The water pump to heater hose pipe has the "T" piece for the smaller hose to the carby base. I am thinking of shortening the metal pipe to cut out the "T" piece and putt...

problem with inlet manifold - weber change
I have finally bit the bullet and started the weber replacement on my ea81. I have removed the inlet manifold and I have noticed two things, one is that the main water inlet pipe on the rear is rusted. Am I able to buy a new one of these or are they as rare as rocking horse sh*t! Also there is a sen...

That certainly is a problem! Is that a Redline adapter plate? looks about similar quality and fit (i.e poor) to my redline kit. In the 2nd pic you can clearly see it won't seal the water jacket hole which is a problem, other way round it would hit that vacuum hose. Remember the larger end of the in...

Hmm thats certainly different to mine. I had a quick look but couldn't see a part number, pretty sure its by redline though. I snapped some pic's anyway and maybe someone will know who makes it?? https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/833x622q90/835/bq8k.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/471x352q90/...

Hi Doug, These are the links to the pics; [img] http://imageshack.com/a/img838/9766/8jyx.jpg [/imgt] The adaptor plate shows the 6mm pins in just to centre the plate. I could turn the plate around but I would have to remove that hose at the b...

power steering bolts, etc
I managed to get a power steering unit to go in the 87 brumby, but there are no bolts, etc for it. Is there anyone (in WA probably) that has the bolts to help or which ones I need to buy?
Cheers
Stuart

weber carby install issues
Hi guys, I have finally decided to have a go at installing the weber onto my ea81. I have the dgav and adapter plate and a manual choke kit. I notice that when I dryfit the weber, the "choke pull-off diaphram" hits the distributor plug. I tried changing the adapter plate around but that just hits th...

Hi guys, I have the Tribeca 08 and have had it for about two years. Love it, if you want good fuel economy, you need to drive it gently. I get about 8-9km/100 on open road. That changes to about 13km/100 around town. Whereis charges about $300 to upgrade your maps, I haven't found anywhere else yet....
