hey TOONGA or anyone else what diameter was the tacho you put in did you have to cut anything to fit it?

Ha ha wouldn't we all. I do feel a little bad as the wagon was probably roadworthy as is but i'm planning on being buried in my brumby so wagon had to sacrifice the parts.

Um yeah dont like the sound of that i can just see myself stuffing it right up. (Hey darl i need a tacho for christmas) Dont know which has more chance of working really?

85 My touring wagon. Been a great buy got motor power steering front guard and seats out of it so far. Only paid $400 for it.

Tacho looks sweet. Very tempting. I have a spare dash which i pulled the clock out of to have a look. What do i need to do to fix it though? nothing obvious standing out to me.

power steering into brumby

Hey all. Just put power steering from an 85 wagon into my 89 brumby. After reading a few posts for how to do it i decided to have a go. Very surprisingly it all went well. It all works but there seems to be a lot of noise coming from the rack. The more you rev the louder it gets. kind of like a grin...

brumby clock in dash

Hi can anyone tell me if you can fix a clock thats stopped working in the dash of a brumby. Also i was thinking of maybe putting a tacho there instead but would like to fix the clock first.

Hey thanks all for advice. Turns out it was the ignition barrell. Swapped it over with one I had laying around and works fine.

Just did this mod. I grabbed the 3 way switch out of a wagon and the wiper relay. Plugs in exactly where you said. White plug with a jumper on it yellow wire. Unplug that plug in the relay and away you go. It took me about an hour to realize intermittent only works the car turned to on. High and low...

Yeah I've checked the fuse no luck. There's no power to the engine fuse I've just realized too.

No dash lights and engine does

Hey I'm new so bare with me. I changed my engine in my 89 brumby. I put in an ea 81 same engine from a wagon. Hooked it all up but I have no dash lights and the car starts but as soon as I release the key off start it dies. I've checked the wiring but can't find anything. Any ideas?
