If it's got a vacuum canister hanging off the left side, but also a linkage running through the box externally on the right side, then it's be a centre-locking with dual range. But it will only have the turbo low range as these boxes only came on turbo models. There are single range boxes which als...

If it's an LSD in the rear of the donor vehicle I'd also be checking the gearbox to see if it's a centre locking diff unit (The ultimage in onroad and offroad performance). If it is and you don't want it feel free to post it in my direction ;) Cheers Bennie I have a good lead on a manual gearbox wi...

Yes... but the cream interior is absolutely horrible! We settled on this, JDM EJ204 dohc. A bit low but I hope some springs and shocks will raise it a bit http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/03/66c2565223dc29dda44e88ff74844f21.jpg http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/03/1f886b3201bf96d1d306e...

He told me it's off ea65 and won't fit my ea71 :(:(

Now am just thinking about putting ea65 heads and get an ea65 camshaft as well.

Read somewhere on a forum that the ea65 head flows better and would improve performance.

Would like to try it out just don't know how true that is.

The newer 05-07 SG has variable valve timing built into the engine making it more efficient all round. also has a better auto gearbox thats more responsive. Other than that they are similar.. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/29/c3aae90915fe6ea0d3fdb611c26d4360.jpg http://tapatalk.imageshack....

Didn't know anything about variable valve timing, thanks

Budget around 10k US$, used cars are really expensive here we hardly buy anything new coz of the cost is ridiculous like 70% are ex Japan.

Here's a pic

Nice fnd, that's them. Pity the backing plates are so mangled... Did you get the sway bar & brackets with the arms? And did you get the diff out of the same car? It should be an LSD (unless they came off an auto) Not so good for 4wding cos they limit the arm movement in extreme moments, but the rea...

rear discs are incredibly hard to find. Only came out on turbo EFI models. And you'll need the ones off a 4wd vehicle because they differ. Depends on your type of driving whether they'll be any use, but I prefer them (plus I think it looks stupid to see a set of drums through a nice set of wheels :...

That's great to hear and we want pics of your progress :) Nope, the binding comes from the tail shaft turning at a different speed to the gearbox. The LSD just allows better drive to both rear wheels, so it would more than likely make it worse. I wouldn't worry about the LSD unless you're planning ...

Equal length extractors will gain some kw at the flywheel but you will drop the subi beat - it's all about exhaust pulses. The factory Y pipe runs the left pulses into the right hand pulses hence the "thumping" sound. By making things equal you effectively give the differing exhaust pulses a gap to...
