Mystry noise under the bonnett
Hey there everyone. I've got a mystery noise coming from under my bonnet. I've got a 2005 Forester XT. So the noise comes from this thing: http://i1328.photobucket.com/albums/w521/frug79/P1040317b_zps134b9766.jpg http://i1328.photobucket.com/albums/w521/frug79/P1040318_zpsde067b07.jpg it's located t...

So, after the front and rear bars were installed, the exhaust pipe out the rear was hanging really really low, and looked quite ugly. So, off to Classic & Custom Exhaust Factory in Coburg North. Super firendly guys and they really know what they are talking about. I went to a few exhaust places arou...

Update
Over the last few weeks i've been busily getting more work done of the car. The new springs, strts and BFG tyres have made for some real exciting driving and fun times off road. So, after much looking around at forums and speaking to many Subaru 4WD Club Victoria members, I'd decided to get myself s...

Hey Jake. We turned onto Rattcliffe from Bluegum track and drove it all the way north to Firth Rd. I guess we probable drove past the bollards, but not sure where you mean. Nuggertty Trk was pretty good fun. We got onto it from Holts Trk, which is the south end, and drove it north. The start and end...

Martin did hit it the hardest. The white forry did a slow climb, but the issues was that the surface was really loose, the sliding off to the far side, where there were rocks and trees ready to damage our cars, so hitting it with a bit of pace was needed, so we didn't slide off. The line that Martin...

Lerderderg Trip 25th May
Hi there everyone. Thinking about heading out the Lerderderg forest on Sat 25th May. Loose plans are possibly meeting at Bacchus Marsh at about 9am, then driving around the area for the day. I gotta be back in Melbs at 4pm, so an early start is the plan. Lerderderg is here: https://maps.google.com/m...

hi Boosting. Thanks for the reply. I'm looking to only replace the current head unit in the car. The current setup looks like this: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/attachments/f77/7371d1186049714-2005-radio-forester-radio-002.jpg as you can see, the radio head unit takes up 2 spots, so i'd l...

Forester Electrical help
Hi there everyone. I need to get some electrical work done on my 05 Forester. I'm thinking of getting a new stereo unit and UHF radio setup in my dash, but I have no idea how to install it. I'd be happy to buy both the units from one shop and get them to install, but not sure what store would stock ...

First thing's first
So, the first thing I needed to do to my XT was to transfer everything I'd done on my 2006 X, onto my new XT. I'd fitted King Springs, KYB Struts, BF Goodrich AT tyres and a Bash plate to my X, so getting the same body type in the XT, I figured that those things should be able to be swapped straight...

Frug's Forester XT 2005 Offroad-assissing project
Hi there everyone. This is a little thread about my progress of turning my 2005 XT into a softroader that i can take out and have a little fun in. Firstly, let me tell you a bit about me. I'm not very good with cars, I'm more of a Bicycle man, but i'm willing to give anything a go, if i can put it b...

Roofrack and awning suggestions
Hi there everyone. I need to get an awning to mount on the side of my Forester 2005 XT and was wondering what brand people use and what experience people have with them. What's good? What's bad? What's easy to mount? What's the best quality? Who's had problems with them? Who's had great experiences ...

no worries about the extra travel, as long as I get more clearance, that's the main thing. So, just so i can get it clear in my head, the Spring/Strut blocks raise the body AND drivetrain of the car? The new springs and struts will improve the handling of the car once it's been raised? Sorry for the...
