I thought of that, I tried tapping it while the car was on, and tried unplugging it when the car was on- tapping did nothing, and unplugging it killed the car right away.
Would this mean it's working as it should?

96 Outback auto intermittent stalling
Hi, I'm having intermittent issues with my 96 Outback limited auto. At random times while driving or idling, it may stall.
