I was searching the web for timing belt kit sold in australia. Got a quote from drivebelt.com.au: $475 for a gates kit (Gates Part Number - TCKHT304). Is Gates good? I feel more expensive than the OEM.

Even Bearing suppliers sells them 1/4 of the price. I bought ours MY07 Liberty for $308 as timing kit (belt, idlers, tensioner and seals) from Subaru Hobart (You need to speak to the manager at the dept there mention me - Tristan from Melbourne recommend him he will look after you) Cheers AP $308 f...

Where to source timing belt kits

Hi all, just bought a 06 outback. Also it is close to the major service. I am planning to DIY the timing belt. Where will be a good place to source the timing belt kit?
