Although I didn't get any replies to my query, I chose to go a head and purchased an AL519 via Ebay. Worked straight out of the box. Haven't yet evaluated all of the functionality but the unit seems to do the job.

Need to pick up a low cost OBD II code reader ASAP. A while back tried an Autel MS509, which seemd to work intermittently, now looking at the AL519 off ebay for $120.
