When starting, let the engine crank 3 times, let it rest for 3-5 seconds then try again, it should start on the first or second crank. My 02 Outback does the same, the issue is the injectors need servicing, as such they don't atomise the fuel properly, more like just let it dribble in. During the 3-...

My wife had a few goes at it, these were the best results, as TOONGA has said the low resolution doesn't help but the main issue is the sunlight has bleached the colour from the image, there is nothing there to recover. http://ausubaru.com.au/attachment.php?attachmentid=2494&stc=1&d=1295173405 http:...

The geolanders are a decidedly average tyre, designed for too many purposes and don't do any of them well, and over priced to boot. Khumo's are my preference for handling, ride and noise but being a soft tyre they don't last very long, 25-40,000km's. I have just replaced some Yokohama dB decibel's, ...

The old GTHO phase III Falcon's had a "magical silver box" that worked in a similar way, I imagine they would have been dumping a lot more raw fuel than your tiny little suby engine, but then it's only until the revs drop below the ignition cut, which shouldn't take too long. I think the concern sho...

Check the connection of the main positive lead to your starter motor and any earth leads, particularly ones that go to the motor. Try forcing the starter motor to operate by shorting the solenoid spade terminal to the main positive connection on the back of the motor, making sure the car is out of g...

More spark: Use higher powered coil such as the "MSD Blaster 2" and increase the spark plug gap to 1.1-1.2mm. Cost: MSD Blaster $120 ^^^^ I found this on ebay, is this the one that you are talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160372233349&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Yes...

In the diag, 87a refers to the top relay contact not connected to anything, in theory it "shouldn't" effect anything they way you have it.... 87a = Normally Closed Contact 87= Normally Open Contact Glad to hear it works and even better that it does what you wanted, what's the next challenge ;) Jordan.

I've got a nice 1/2" drive set but always seem to get myself in trouble with it working with soft stuff like alloy, 3/8" set and a "bucket of careful" are next on my tool list. "Easy Outs" don't always live up to their name, the most success i have had is if you can file/grind the remaining bolt fla...

Thanks Fredsub, got caught up with the kids and didn't get a chance to finish. In Fred's diagram S1 would be your ignition. Steptoe an 87 87a relay would do the same job, just make sure the N/C terminal is covered so it doesn't short on anything. This should take you directly to Fred's diagram: http...

I believe the issue is most likely to occur when starting the car, ie: ignition from off ->acc->on->start->on, where the unit will briefly receive power during acc->on then lose power for a second during start then be powered again once back to on , this momentary loss of power can cause surges in e...
