http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac128/t-ridden/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG-20141224-WA0000_zps71911d74.jpeg Picked up a set of WRC series special License Plates for the GreenSheep! So happy with these, was really wanting AWD-WRC, but couldn't find out who owned them or if they were selling. Big thanks ...

Blew a low beam globe in the GreenSheep (MY03 Liberty RX) on some rough roads on the way to a khanacross on the weekend. Ended up going the whole hog on the front lights with Narva +120% high beams and Phillips XVision +100% low beams. The improvement is actually insane. I've never put much stock in...

"leone" is technically the older ones, pre-85 i think, but it gets used for the sedan.
I find at SCA if they look under Subaru "GL" it gets results.
have a ring around, someone will be able to help :-)

Well a GC8 is <2000, definitely not 02-07 for starters... but I would not think they would be similar. Most places I have contacted make different spacers for L series and EJ series (imprezas, etc), so I'd suggest you check with others. Also, I've often had my "L series" confused with a "Liberty", t...

Easiest thing, which I did, was get some white masking tape (the paper type) and use it to re-mark the speedo on the clear plastic cover according to the GPS measurements (yes it will move with viewing angle, but i tend to keep the same driving position most of the time). Then just get used to it an...

Tom (t-ridden) has first dibs, I was trying to get some for him on USMB but the seller did a runner :( Just to pipe in, thanks heaps! Shame about the seller but not your fault. Message me when you get around to parting with your setup :) Ben, my L is stock height, 14x6" rims (speedy desert rats) an...

TOONGA, you might be right, my MY03 Lib RX 2.5 has developed a funny start in the last week too! I suspect the ECU may not be priming for start properly...it will start after about 7-10 sec cranking, or ALWAYS within a second if i turn the key back to acc then try again. Why? no idea, but it's not a...

Awesome.
Any idea how long they'll take to get to you. I imagine shipping to the Territory is even slower than to WA!
My L is in need of new suspension, tossing up between genuine and KYB branded

Haha "using the different rear diff will cause drag"....you don't say!

This "Subaru LSD Oil"... is it best to get that specific one from Subaru or just any good gear oil?
I'm assuming it'll be heavier than usual diff/gear oil, any ideas on viscosity/additives/etc?

Well there you go!
Thanks for that sublime!
I hope the brakes get to you soon safe and sound.

As far as reconditioning the diff goes, I'll have a google and get some prices, see what needs/is recommended to be done.
For 190000ks, I think it would be pretty unused!

Nice :) Im surely not the only curious person, so I will ask first: Where did you score what appears to be a genuine L series/MY CLSD? and how much. Do you know history (if rebuilt etc). Also if you can carefully remove enough of that silly black paint can you post the part# on the sticker for our ...

Progress update EJ motor is finally out of the Liberty and separated from the 'box. Had to pull them out together due to a rounded bellhousing bolt.... In the meantime, I've swapped the engine looms (had to also swap cam and crank angle sensors due to plug differences), cleaned up the intake side of...

Thanks guys! I'm pretty stoked, its in 'as new' condition and i intend on doing my best to keep it that way! Did you struggle to go back to a sedan? Not sure yet, only had it less than 48 hours! G'day all, I've been searching for a long-term daily for a while now. After much searching and trying of various Subarus (seriously, why would you even look at another make? ;) ) I finally found one that I couldn't walk away from. The Gen 3 and 4 Libertys/Legacys have long been two of my favorite ca...

Can't post on the Gumtree WA thread :( If a Mod could add me to that group/give me permission to post, that would be much appreciated. Mate of mine is selling his GC8 WRX Very tidy, very quick and fully permitted for mods. Also got a forged STi 2003 block, ready for racecar boost ;) http://www.gumtr...

Thanks for the advice guys, turns out the dealer was playing me for a fool (or a non-subaru person) Long story short, started it up and almost immediately had wisps of oil smoke off the driver's side head, so not even going to consider it any more. Checked the heads and both rocker gaskets leaked, o...

Buying an Sf GT Forrie

Hi all, Sorry I've been a bit quiet on here, moving house and starting back at uni has taken my time away D: (and my internet connection for a week or two!) After some advice, I'm after a new(er) daily driver, as my Mazda is getting a tad unreliable and isn't awful fun to drive. Realistically, it pr...
