Yep EFI and the only rust i've found is the rear muffler and a small patch of surface rust about the size of a 50 cent coin on the rear drivers side door.

Steptoe, Pretty much just time.

I'm working 7 days a week at the moment on top of organising removalists, and trying to find a new job in Adelaide for when I get there so it's just not going to happen for me

It has plenty of potential, just needs someone to finish her off

It's actually a low km import, and the donor car I stripped a few weeks ago came with a full VRS kit so hopefully should have what I need.

Cheers

Thanks mate!

225 mm it is.

Might leave the thermo until I get to SA.

2" exhaust sounds like it's the way to go.

I triple checked with the guy and he assures me it an MPFI motor.

Cheers

New motor before moving to Adelaide

Hi all! It's been a while so I thought i'd post an update... I'm moving to Radelaide in the next few months and am really pushing to get my wagon on the road before I go. I picked up a donor car a few weeks back and stripped it for some parts that I needed and also a few other goodies like a bullbar...

L Series Sports Wagon parts

Hi there!

I just bought another L Series Sports Wagon for parts for my other wagon.

If anyone needs anything let me know and depending on what it is you can probably come and pick it up for free.

I'm located in Canberra.

PM me if you're interested.

Cheers,

Phil

I'm in Canberra but my wagons not currently on the road so can't go for runs yet. Don't mind sharing advice but I'm new to Subaru's so not sure how much help I'll be.

Cheers

EA82 MPFI Cam belt covers

Anyone have a complete set of cam belt covers to suit an EA82 MPFI?

(Not sure if there is a difference between carbed and injected)

I need the fronts and backs as mine are broken beyond repair...

Cheers

It's a Hitachi screw on cap and the rotor screws on to the dizzy shaft as well.

I'll post some pics when I have a chance.

Anybody get any further with generic options for dizzy cap and rotor? Auto pro/supercheap/repco don't have any listings. Subaru Australia says they don't stock them (22162AA040 - Cap & 22157AA001 - Rotor) have to be shipped from Japan and want $130ish for the pair!?!? I've found some options on ebay...

That next service may be a while as it has no rego. I used half a can of throttle body cleaner down a vacuum line and she runs pretty smooth now, still want to run a timing light just to be sure but i've got a few things that need doing before I take it for a rego inspection... - Brake fluid flush a...

So I was thinking about this "tick of death" problem and how I really didn't want to start pulling things apart so decided to do another oil flush because hey, it's been sitting for 4 years and who knows when it was last serviced. So I added a can of LIQUI MOLY Engine Detox ($23 from Supercheap Auto...

Yeah when I checked it was still soft and looked ok.

Out of curiosity, what gauges do you have that I don't?
