l hate to say it but this is real common with older Subs, normally it would be a good idea to pop the screen and check the channel behind the rubber to see if the edges have rusted away, have you lifted the rubber door stop attached to the inner A frame across from the windscreen and above the upper...

Fitting EA-81T is straightforward but pricey, the X-member you can make by modifying a standard type and Ecu and looms are better off being an aftermarket type of which there are many types. Your biggest obsticle will be finding an 81T, and of course the Legal requirements to modify a standard car t...
Hi all, have had a couple of inquiries recently regarding this ute, no l did not sell it, did not need too, really just wanted it driven and a firm price is what it sounds like, firm. Up on blocks atm, stored and awaiting my return in a month or two, cant wait to hear her fire up and squirt it down ...

Babys..t brown huh? Horrible colour but easy to repaint, cost will vary on your choice, the type of paint selected and if enamel, on the colour also. You will need depending on your choice to go bare metal or not, undercoat, top coats, sandpaper, masking tape, low tack, (heaps of this), thinners, ma...

Great work Gannon, well documented to. l read you are wanting to push more fuel through your injectors as as they have already been mentioned l'll add my 2 cents. When l first got the ute going and for almost 12 months including the time you came for a drive it ran 280 brown cap injectors. l replace...

There is an interesting "5 lug" thread over at USMB ATM if interested Cheers A . Have been following this thread with interest and have ordered a set, the price is right and they are using high grade materials so l figure they're worth a try. l'm with Mr Discopotato on this one, nobody in over 30 y...

I have the evil power sucking fixed fan in the brumby. I also have a couple of slim electric fans. What do I need to do to replace the fan? Rip it off and whack the lecco in and power it off the second leccy fan in the brumby? Just wondering if anyone has done this before too and if it is actually ...

Well, l don't know much about the 82 clutch hook up, l can tell you for sure the box will handle the stress, (within reason of course), my ute although an 81T, has quite a bit more horsepower than the standard 82T has run the humble 4 speed for nearly 2 years now without a hiccup on a standard 81 cl...

I am in here to say that my 84 Brumby of unknown history had/has the smaller diameter clutch with dual range 4WD box. That'll be the cheaper clutch kit and using a Gemini friction plate so the thing fits the 5 speed dual range L series box in her now. sorry..... Thanks for the confirmation Jono and...

Fuel Pressure
The pictures speak for themselves but the reason is way too much fuel pressure, the fix was to upsize on the return line to 5/16" or 8MM back to the surge tank,(before the pump). Symptoms were, continually blowing injector seals and mounts. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n308/redskin_02/img_0133...

EA-81/82T Thermostat replacement option.
l had the opportunity today to rummage through Repco's parts shelves looking for a thermostat and have come up with a replacement that opens at 160 deg to replace the standard 180 deg unit. This thermostat is made for a Holden but is 54mm diameter, (same as early Subaru). The hole for this is centra...
