I have a 1993 Carb EA82 with faulty Nippondenso distributor. Can it be swapped for a 1984 carb EA82 Hitachi distributor. Any advice appreciated, Roger.

My wagon was doing this when the little pickup in the disty was faulty. Would cut out, usually about 5 mins after a cold start, for random amounts of time, then work for the rest of the trip. Hi, my Ea82 motor cuts out temporarily a few minutes after starting. It soon
