done the new bearing thing a few times in these idlers, say a few times then gave up for could not get the thing to sit in perfectly square and idler wobbled once in place. Went for a good used and never looked back If you have access to a lathe it pays to give it a quick skim. I took off about 0.2...

New bearing and press it in. I think mine was about 16.00 from cbc. I had to clean the pully up on the lathe a bit though the heat from seizing it distorted it a little and it had a bit of runout in it. The hardest part is getting the circlip out so 15 minute job tops.

I did buy it with the intention of keeping it as is, spent just over a 1800$ on it getting all the wheel bearings cvs and engine and gearbox mounts fixed and got defected to regency a week later. The end result is they wanted all the rust repaired, seats fixed, seat belts replaced and a full enginee...

Stay away from ebay cv's... if you can, go to a cv specialist or auto parts store. They can get all the parts you need or buy complete units, it will cost more but you will get what you pay for. I got auto force cv's for about 160 each and they come with a 60000km warranty. Also depends on the car a...

brakes going to the floor

Has anyone come across this issue? I have brakes when the brumby is off but when I start it the pedal goes to the floor. Is it a split line or vacuum leak in the booster?

We're pretty lucky, I have a cv specialist about 15mins from my house and he'll build whatever you like. He did a few heavy duty cv/axel shafts for my skyline using thick 4wd shafts. Lasted for ages and they are priced very fairly. Ill be making a trip there when the time comes.

Not to sure yet. I have 4 wheel disk brakes already in 4 stud so I haven't completely decided yet. if I keep the 4 stud I'll get custom cv's. Its a bit of a headache going 5 stud and finding a c r o s s b r e d kit is getting hard as they're rare as hens teeth..

Hey peoples, I'm just chasing some info on the gear box crossmember for an awd conversion to a brumby. I would like a few photos if possible as most the threads have dead links. removing 3" lift kit l series sportswagon

I want to remove my lift kit from my 1992 sportswagon. Can you buy all new original bolts or am I going to need to do a run to the wreckers and remove all the bolts from a wreck? Even if i can get a list so I can go purchase all new bolts would be better than recycling old stuff. I had a quick look ...
